Reality-TV guru Mark Burnett has signed on to exec-produce the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, and his first order of business was to announce that the 16-year-old kudosfest will air live for the first time ever, on June 3.

Touting the tweak to Reuters, Burnett notes, "[Things will happen] on the fly, it will be more unscripted, [we'll have] less overly written teleprompter stuff, and it will let the stars have more fun." Because lord knows, the likes of Lindsay and Paris need that extra push in finding more fun.
