Less than two weeks after a gunman killed two women at a screening of Trainwreck in Lafayette, La., another movie theater has suffered a shooting.

A man opened fire at a screening of Mad Max: Fury Road at Carmike Hickory 8 Cinemas in Antioch, Tenn., just outside of Nashville, on Wednesday afternoon. Police confirmed the activity on Twitter, adding that the suspect is dead. "The only person who was shot was the suspect as he emerged out the rear door," after exchanging fire with a SWAT team, Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron told Deadline.

Amy Schumer on Trainwreck shooting: "I was legit heartbroken"

The incident was reported at 1:13 PM, and the suspect was wearing a surgical mask and a backpack. He also pepper-sprayed other theatergoers, though there are no reports of serious injuries and no one has been taken to the hospital.

The news also comes two days after a Colorado jury unanimously agreed to consider the death penalty for James Holmes, who killed 12 people and injured 70 in a 2012 movie theater attack.

Amy Schumer also took to the podium on Monday, calling for stricter gun control laws. "These shootings have got to stop," she said. "I don't know how else to say it."
