Billy Dee Williams Heads to Modern Family; Nathan Lane to Return

Star Wars vet Billy Dee Williams has landed a guest-starring role on ABC's Modern Family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Williams, who played Lando Calrissian in the original trilogy, will make a cameo as himself in the New Year's Eve-themed episode. In the episode, Jay (Ed O'Neill) brings the family on vacation to Palm Springs to celebrate the holiday and runs into Williams during a game of cards.

Following that episode, Nathan Lane is set to reprise his role as Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) friend Pepper Saltzman, which marks his third appearance on the award-winning ABC comedy.
Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
