Teyona Teyona

After America's Next Top Model crowned Teyona Anderson as its 12th cycle winner on Wednesday, TVGuide.com caught up with the New Jersey native to get the scoop on what it was like getting greased up to writhe around on the final runway — and to lose her fake hair in the middle of it! Plus: Find out what the 20-year-old had to say about the Celia catfight and what's next for her.

TVGuide.com: Congratulations! What was going through your head during that final runway walk-off?
Teyona Anderson: The only thing I was thinking going down the catwalk was, "Teyona, don't fall!" Other than that, I kept thinking, "Teyona, it's in your hand right now, but it's so easy to lose, so focus and do your hardest and try your best."

TVGuide.com: How about the final leg of runway where you guys got greased up and started writhing around on the catwalk?
Teyona: I was thinking, "What in the world?! Isn't this suppose to be PG?" They were like, "You've got to be sexy and crawling." And I was saying to myself, "Oh my goodness, Teyona, just pull it through." [Laughs] I thought it was going to be crazy, but it wasn't that bad.

TVGuide.com: And then your fake hair came off!
Teyona: Yeah, I felt it starting to slide and I thought, "I'm going lose it!" And then, when it actually fell off, I was like, "Teyona, just play with it. It's going work to your advantage or it's not." So I'm glad it did.

TVGuide.com: Overall, do you think you were portrayed fairly on the show?
Teyona: Toward the beginning, they made me seem more quiet than I normally am. But everything else they showed were the things I said and the things we all did, so it doesn't bother me.

TVGuide.com: Do you have any regrets about the fight you had with Celia after she told Tyra that Tahlia didn't want to be in the competition anymore?
Teyona: I don't regret any of that happening. I voiced my opinion about that situation. I felt that if her friend hadn't been sent home, she wouldn't have opened her mouth and said anything. But because it was her friend who got sent home, she did — and that's not right.

TVGuide.com: So, what's next?
Teyona: Come Monday, I meet with Elite [Model Management], and hopefully everything goes well, and I start going on castings and move to New York. I think it's a good place for me to start off my modeling, and then I can take it to other fashion capitols like London, Milan or Paris.
