Patti Stanger's Top 10 Dating Tips

Network, network, network: "Ask everyone you know to fix you up."

Get out of your comfort zone: "People would be surprised to meet potential significant others at electronics conventions, sporting events, steak houses and spiritual classes."

The power of one is — powerful: "Go out once a week alone to different places you find interesting. Those who travel in packs don't attract."

Get over the online dating stigma: "Get online and join multiple [dating] sites, especially hobby-related."

Don't be afraid to flaunt it: "Make sure your Facebook page has the best image of you — legs and all."

Present your best self: "Take down the [social media] photos of you with other men or women, holding alcoholic beverages or cats.

Chivalry should not be dead: "People have become lazier due to social networking and are too sexually overt."

Don't overdo it on a first date: "The best first date is a quiet dinner with a bottle of wine near or on the water."

The past is the past: "Talking too much about your past relationships and putting down your exes is the no.1 dating mistake."

Should women ever ask men out? "Nay!"
