We hope you're ready: Miley Cyrus is hosting the MTV Video Music Awards. In fact, she announced the news in the best way possible, with a tweet joking that since MTV won't let her perform, she's found a different way to take part in the show.

Cyrus's caught some serious attention at the 2013 show for her provocative "Blurred Lines" performance with Robin Thicke. Last year she let her homeless date, Jesse Helt, accept her award for Video of the Year, for "Wrecking Ball."

MTV later confirmed the news. The VMA nominees will be announced Tuesday morning.

Are you excited to see Miley host the VMAs?

The 2015 VMAs will air on Aug. 30 at 9/8c on MTV.
