Cabrera is only the fifteenth player to earn the honor. Though greats including Babe Ruth or Joe DiMaggio never accomplished it the feat, Ted Williams did so twice. Others in the elite club include Mickey Mantle and Carl Yastrzemski, the last player to win the triple crown before Cabrera.Cabrera was in the clubhouse when the announcement was made in the sixth inning of the Tigers' eventual 1-0 win over Kansas CIty. "Right now, it's an unbelievable feeling," Cabrera said.
