Michelle Monaghan has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's HBO pilot Open, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The drama is a modern exploration of sexuality and relationships. Monaghan will play Grace, a successful and recently engaged gynecologist. Although she is engaged to marry Scott Speedman's character, Grace finds a connection with Anna Torv's Windsor, who is in a relationship with Holly (Jennifer Jason Leigh). Wes Bentley also stars.

Monaghan, whose credits include Source Code and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, will next appear in HBO's upcoming series True Detective opposite Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Open is written and executive-produced by Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) and Lauren Gussis (Dexter). American Horror Story's Dante Di Loreto will also serve as an executive producer.
