Fox News correspondent Megyn Kelly will interview Donald Trump in what Fox is calling a "special event" in May, the network announced Monday.

The two have had a contentious relationship since early on in the presidential race, with things really heating up when Trump famously said, "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever," in reference to an interview with Kelly. Trump and Fox News later declared an all-out war, one that's apparently come to an end with the Megyn Kelly Presents special that will air May 17. Extended portions of the interview will be available on The Kelly File on Fox News starting May 18.

Megyn Kelly claims Donald Trump used to "woo" her with press clippings and phone calls.

"For the first time ever, Kelly will explore how events unfolded with Trump after the August debate as one of the most prominent voices covering the 2016 presidential campaign of the frontrunner," said a network press release. "She will also examine Trump's successful campaign for the White House to date and his role in one of the most historic presidential runs in modern times.

Thus far, Kelly has co-hosted each of Fox News' presidential debates with Bret Baier and Chris Wallace.
