On You, Me and the Apocalypse, which premieres Jan. 28 on NBC, Megan Mullally plays Leanne, a white supremacist who Jenna Fischer's heroine Rhonda MacNeil meets in prison. Leanne, you'll notice, has a swastika on her forehead. Mullally wishes this wasn't the case, but the swastika was in the script, and so it appeared on her face the first day of shooting. NBC bought the American rights on the second day of shooting (the show was produced by Working Title Films, a British company), and although the network was equally uncomfortable with the somewhat superfluous swastika, by then it was too late to leave it out.

Watch what Mullally has to say about how the production gets around showing the tattoo, as well as her character's incremental growth away from being the kind of person who wants a swastika on her face.
