CMT Crossroads (Friday, 10/9c, CMT)
Guitar gurus John Mayer and Keith Urban mash up genres in a dual concert that marks both musicians' return to the show (Mayer appeared with Brad Paisley in 2004, Urban with John Fogerty in 2005). The playlist includes Urban and Mayer standards and concludes with a cover of George Michael's "Faith."

Queer as Folk (Sunday, 8/7c, Ovation)
To launch the culture channel's "Art Out Loud" series, the provocative British series about gay life in Manchester, England makes its overdue U.S. premiere. If it sounds familiar, it's because Showtime adapted this sexually graphic drama into an American series (set in Pittsburgh) that ran for five seasons from 2000-2005.

Treme (Sunday, 10/9c, HBO)
As the first season of this evocative New Orleans drama concludes, a funeral procession gives many of the characters a chance to reflect on post-Katrina life in the Big Easy. Don't mourn for Treme. HBO has already renewed it for a second season.

The Gates (Sunday, 10/9c, ABC)
Think Desperate Houseghouls as ABC opens the doors to a ritzy gated community in a new drama series populated by literally bloodthirsty neighbors and a football jock with decidedly werewolf-like anger management issues. What's the new police chief going to make of all this?
