The end of the Gilmore Girls revival left the paternity of Rory's (Alexis Bledel) unborn child unresolved. Is Logan (Matt Czuchry) the daddy? TV Guide sat down with Czuchry, while he was promoting his new Fox seriesThe Resident at the Television Critics Association winter previews, to investigate. Will we see more episodes?

Czuchry says no... for now. "I think what was so great about the [2016 Netflix revival] was that it had been nine years. The timing felt right for that," the actor said. "Are there more to be told? I think fans want them, but will the timing be the same? Will the stories be right? That is yet to be determined."

In the meantime, Czuchry hopes that Gilmore fans will watch his new show, in which he plays medical maverick Conrad Hawkins. "I've had so many fans from Gilmore Girls follow me throughout my career and hopefully they'll watch [The Resident] and enjoy this show as well," he says.

The Resident premieres Sunday, Jan. 21 at 10/9c and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is currently streaming on Netflix.
