The S.H.I.E.L.D. team will have a new villain to contend with soon.
The Black Donnellys alum Patrick Brennan will play Marcus Daniels, otherwise known as the famous Marvel villain Blackout, on the ABC drama, Marvel announced Friday. Brennan will make his debut in Episode 18 and also appear in Episode 19.
"This guy, Marcus Daniels, a.k.a. Blackout, was shrouded in darkness, his soul, everything about him was shrouded in darkness until he comes across this Cello player," Brennen said. "And the music was the only light that came into his soul, and it gave him hope and it gave him some sense of what light was."
Fans of the comics be warned: this version of Blackout will have slightlydifferent powers. In S.H.I.E.L.D., he'll have the ability to suck the energy out of anything around him.
Brennan's other credits include Sons of Anarchy and Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC. Are you excited to see Blackout?
