Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Stars Say Seer Reveal Will Be "Beyond Shocking"

It's been kind of a bleak stay in the future for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but this latest episode finally saw things take a turn for the better -- and it's about time (no pun intended).

On the ground, Daisy (Chloe Bennet) managed to defeat Sinara (Florence Faivre) after a crazy, gravity-free fight, while Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) inched closer and closer to finding a way to get everyone back to the past. Even if they're in a closed time loop, at least we're making progress, right?

The best results came from the Lighthouse though, where Mack (Henry Simmons) and Yo-Yo (Natalia Corova-Buckley) raised a rebellion among the humans and took back their floors from the Kree. Permanently. It looks like they may have finally won their freedom, and they even managed to to get Tess (Eve Harlow) back, after Kasius (Dominic Rains) brought her back to life.

That's a couple of major wins in anyone's book!

The road to getting there was pretty rough for Mack and Yo-Yo though, as they differed on how to make their rebellion a success and whether to let Flint (Coy Stewart) fight or to protect him from danger. Ultimately though, both Henry Simmons and Natalia Cordova-Buckley think this conflict has only made that relationship stronger in the long run.

"I personally thinks it makes it stronger," Simmons says. "Look, there's a verse in the Bible that says, 'Iron sharpens iron,' and I think that's what it's like with these two. These two are very strong individuals. They're both leaders, themselves, and they sharpen each other. They make each other stronger, which in turn makes them stronger as a team. I think it only helps them in the long run."

"What I love about Yo-Yo and Mack," Cordova-Buckley adds, "is that it's a very adult relationship. They respect each other before anything. In the worst of times, their challenges are always just that - a challenge, an obstacle to be jumped over together. There isn't that selfishness that comes along with younger relationships... They put their relationship before most things, and challenges become just problems to resolve, not hurdles that will permanently hurt the relationship. I love that about our relationship. It's a very mature relationship for a superhero show, and I love that."

When you think about the nature of their relationship, that's all very true. No matter what happens between them personally or professionally, you're never worried that Mack and Yo-Yo will call it quits. They know each other and love each other well enough to be sure that they'll stick together, no matter the conflict, which isn't typically the case with couples on TV.

Unfortunately, while the crisis with Kasius may have ultimately been avoided, we shouldn't rule him out as an enemy just yet.

The final shot of the episode revealed that Kasius has his own Seer, presumably advising him on the past and future. That could throw a major wrench in the works of the team's plan to get back and stop the destruction of the Earth, especially if they're not in a fixed time loop like Fitz assumes.

As far as who (or what) this Seer is, we can only tell you that it's "beyond shocking," according to Simmons and Cordova-Buckley.
