How special are good vibrations?

Special enough for the singer of the 1991 hit song "Good Vibrations," Mark Wahlberg — formerly known as Marky Mark — to consider a reunion with his old group, The Funky Bunch, TMZ reports.

Who else had a reunion this week?

When asked about the prospect of a reunion with the pop group that made him famous to raise money for  Boston relief, Wahlberg said, "Why not?" while exiting T.C. Williams High School, in Alexandria, Va., on Wednesday. Before breaking out as Marky Mark, he was just the younger brother of a New Kid on the Block, Donnie Wahlberg.

Wahlberg, a Bostonian, has been vocal about his disdain for the havoc inflicted by the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15.

Wahlberg next appears in April's Pain & Gain, opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
