SVU's Mariska Hargitay Suffers a Collapsed Lung

Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay is suffering from a partially collapsed lung, according to the star's rep.
"Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung)," the rep told Access Hollywood. Even so, the actress "will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of Law & Order: SVU," the rep said.
Hargitay's condition occurs when air builds up in the space between the lung and the chest wall. It can be caused by a chest injury or broken rib, but can also occur without injury. The actress has been on vacation and was not injured on the set, according to People.
Hargitay was nominated for a Golden Globe, but did not attend Sunday's ceremony.
