Longtime Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning to the reality competition on Monday — but not to show off his moves, People reports.
Chmerkovskiy, 33, will serve as a guest judge for the semifinal performances. Chmerkovskiy, whose brother Val was eliminated earlier this week, left the show two seasons ago after appearing in 13 seasons. He most recently starred in Forever Tango on Broadway.
The best Nashville performances
Chmerkovskiy isn't the first former pro to return to Dancing with the Stars this season as a guest judge. Julianne Hough ruffled a few feathers when she served up some surprisingly harsh criticism of former colleague Mark Ballas earlier this season.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC. Are you excited for Maks' return?
