Making a Murderer, the true crime documentary you still can't stop obsessing over, returns to Netflix on Friday, Oct. 19 and we've got our first look at the upcoming season. The streaming giant dropped the official trailer for Season 2 on Tuesday and it looks like the fight to free Steven Avery is just getting started.

Avery and his nephew Brendan Massey were convicted for the rape and murder of freelance photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005, although some doubt their guilt. In the preview, prominent defense attorney Kathleen Zellner has taken on Avery's case amid an outpour of support from fans who tuned in for Season 1. "I have one goal and that's to overturn the conviction of Steven Avery," she said in the video.

Making a Murderer FINALLY Gets a Season 2 Premiere Date

Season 2, which consists of 10 new episodes, finds filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos returning to the midwest for exclusive interviews with Avery, Dassey, their families and the legal teams fighting on their behalf. The new season will offer up an in-depth look at the post-conviction process and the emotional toll it takes on those involved. Judging by the trailer, it looks like Zellner has uncovered new evidence that could be a turning point in the investigation.

Avery is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Meanwhile, Dassey, who is now 28, also remains in prison and has served 12 years of his life sentence so far. The Supreme Court denied Dassey's request for an appeal in June.

Making a Murderer returns for Season 2 Friday, Oct. 19 on Netflix.
