Téa Leoni Téa Leoni

Is there room for two good wives on Sunday night? CBS is hoping the answer is yes with its new prestigious political drama Madam Secretary.

From executive producer Morgan Freeman, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, a mother of three and a former CIA analyst-turned-college professor who is called upon by her old boss, the President of the United States, to step into the role vacated by the recently deceased Secretary of State. Not only will Elizabeth have to adjust to an entirely new — and extremely important — job, but she'll have to do it surrounded by a staff (including Emmy winner Bebe Neuwirth and House of Cards' Sebastian Arcelus) unsure of this rather unconventional pick. Suffice it to say, Elizabeth's professional challenges will give a whole new meaning to the term office politics. So can she, literally, save the world and solve matters of international importance but also make it home in time for dinner with her husband (Tim Daly) and her kids? She's going to give it her best shot.
