Lisa Rinna Discusses Lip Trouble: Injections Made Them "Hard," "Yucky"

Lisa Rinna is as famous for her acting as she is for her lips (if not more), so it came as no surprise that when Hoda Kotb asked the star about her infamous surgery on Today, Rinna, being a good sport, obliged and candidly explained why she got the injections — and reduction.

"Here's the story: 25 years ago, I had my lips injected with silicone. Stupid thing to do at 24," Rinna said on Monday, explaining that the decision was inspired by Beaches. "I did it with my best girlfriend, so she and I go and we get our lips done. Fine. I have it like that for my whole career, right? So then cut to a couple of years ago, I have a doctor remove as much as they possibly can because it got to the point where they were yucky. You know, they get hard. It's gross. So they are now whatever that was after they took out as much of the silicone as they could."

But the self-proclaimed lip injection "pioneer" says that she doesn't have any regrets. "I never had a career before I had the lips," Rinna said. "So my lips have had their own career."Watch Rinna's explanation below.
