Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda to Host SNL

Lin-Manuel Miranda is about to be in the room where it happens. And by "it," we mean Saturday Night Live.

TheHamilton creator will host SNL on Oct. 8, with musical guest Twenty One Pilots. This will be the SNL debuts for both Miranda and Twenty One Pilots.

Miranda recently completed his starring run in the musical Hamilton on Broadway. He wrote the script and music for the Tony-winning smash hit.

Miranda is the first person primarily known for Broadway work to host SNL since Elizabeth Ashley in 1982.

SNL's 42nd season premiere is Oct. 1 with host Margot Robbie and musical guest The Weeknd.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
