Devious Maids has been renewed for a second season, Lifetime announced Tuesday.
The series, executive-produced by Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria, will return for a second season consisting of 13 episodes next year. Devious Maids follows a close-knit group of maids, played by Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez and Roselyn Sanchez, among others.
"One of the most daring series on television, Devious Maids has quickly become a hit," said Rob Sharenow, executive vice president and general manager of Lifetime. "We are very proud of the show and are delighted to continue our partnership with Marc Cherry, Eva Longoria, Sabrina Wind, ABC Studios and Televisa USA. I am thrilled we are bringing Devious Maids back for a second season to lead our scripted slate in 2014."
Devious Maids debuted in late June to 2 million viewers, but has grown in the subsequent weeks, hitting a series high of 2.9 million viewers two weeks ago.
Devious Maids airs Sundays at 10/9c on Lifetime.
