The couple has endured many trials, with most of the problems caused by Baze (Kristoffer Polaha). Lux's dad will definitely be an obstacle for Cate to overcome before the wedding.
"In Life Unexpected fashion, nothing is easy with the four of us," Britt Robertson, who plays Lux, tells TVGuide.com. "Cate ends up making the right decision for herself, and she ends up finding herself amongst the craziness that is life."
With the wedding comes the question of family. "Cate makes a definitive answer in the last episode of what she's going to do with her life and how she's going to deal with Lux being in her life now," continues Robertson.
"You'll see that Cate and Lux settle their own problems with each other and become a family. Lux finds a place in her heart to be supportive of Cate either way."
Whatever the wedding brings, Robertson says it's a great set-up for Season 2 — should the show get renewed. "There are tons of cliffhangers in the finale," she concludes.
