Kid Flash has a new gig lined up.

Keiynan Lonsdale has joined Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Lonsdale has starred on The Flash as Wally West since Season 2. He was first introduced as the long-lost brother of Iris West (Candice Patton) and son of Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), but Wally eventually joined Team Flash and became a speedster himself, fighting crime under the name Kid Flash.

However, since Barry (Grant Gustin) returned from the Speed Force in early Season 4, Lonsdale has been largely absent from the DC drama, with Wally off attempting to find his place in the world. Apparently, that place will be aboard the Waverider starting Feb. 19, when Lonsdale will officially head over to Legends.

Lonsdale previously appeared in Legends' third season premiere, where we learned that Wally had been teaming up with Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) during the hiatus between seasons. Between this crime-fighting connection, the recent cast shakeups on the series — including the exits of Victor Garber, Franz Drameh and Wentworth Miller — and Wally's current identity crisis, the Legends producers thought now was the perfect time to bring Wally onto the Waverider permanently.

"After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures," executive producer Phil Klemmer told EW in a statement. "So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he's fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero."

The Flash: Barry's Murder Trial Doesn't Go as Expected

Sadly, Lonsdale will not return to The Flash before transferring to Legends next month. However, given how much all the Arrowverse shows interact, we're sure we'll see Wally return to Central City to get some West family closure soon enough.

Legends of Tomorrow returns Monday, Feb. 12 at 8/7c on The CW. You can also catch The Flash Tuesdays at 8/7c.
