The Wire’s Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. Joins The Walking Dead

Another Wirealum is heading to The Walking Dead.

Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. has joined the cast of the AMC zombie drama for Season 4, TVGuide.com has learned.

How The Walking Dead's third season went wrong

Gilliard will play Bob Stookie, a former Army medic who is haunted by his past both prior to the zombie apocalypse and after.  The comics version of the character, Bob Stookey, is a much older man, the local town drunk of Woodbury who was also a former Army medic.As previously announced, the fourth season of The Walking Dead is beefing up on characters, bumping up Chad Coleman, also a Wire alum, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney to series regulars.The fourth season of The Walking Dead will premiere in October.
