Laurie Metcalf to Headline Strange Brew Pilot

Laurie Metcalf intends to make Strange Brew.

She will star in the Fox comedy pilot from Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The 54-year-old actress will play a mother of four who must balance her recent sobriety with her duties for the family-run company: a brewery.

Metcalf became a household name — and earned three Emmys — for her performance as Jackie on Roseanne throughout the series' nine-year run.

More recently, Metcalf earned an Emmy nomination for her 2007 appearance on Desperate Housewives and has guest-starred on several episodes of The Big Bang Theory as Sheldon's mom.
