NBC's loss is Charter Communications gain when it comes to Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba's cop drama, L.A's Finest!

The Bad Boys spin-off series was originally developed and passed over by NBC, but it has now officially been picked up with a a 13-episode, straight-to-series order by Charter. This will be Charter's first scripted series, and President of Sony Pictures Jeff Frost had this to say about the pickup: "Charter has a strong passion for the project and we could not be more excited. Immediately we knew this innovative new platform was absolutely the right home for L.A.'s Finest."

Union will reprise her character from the 2003 film Bad Boys II, playing Special Agent Syd Burnett. The series will follow Burnett as she move to Los Angeles and joins the LAPD, where she's partnered with a Nancy McKenna (Alba), a single mother who envies Burnett's freedom.

L.A's Finest is set to premiere in 2019 exclusively on Spectrum.
