Lady Gaga made up for all of her blank faces and monotone quips in American Horror Story: Hotelwith a dramatic and breathless acceptance speech for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Made for TV at the Golden Globes.
"I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now. This is one of the greatest moments of my life. I have to thank Ryan Murphy. You're just a wonderful human being. You have believed in me so much and been such a good friend," she said between deep sighs.
Gaga couldn't have made it up to that stage alone though. She used the rest of her speech to thank her co-stars. "Thank you to my wonderful cast. I love you guys so much. You're my family forever. I have to thank Matt Bomer. I have to thank Denis O'Hare and Angela Bassett and Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters," she listed before laying down this epic humblebrag."I could go through the entire cast because you're all so talented and because of you I was able to shine, I guess."
The speech also gave a shout-out to Gaga's family for supporting her in her tireless pursuit of being an artist. "I love you so much...The things I have put my body through and my mind through when I'm working, ever since I was I was a child, I can't even do this on my own," she said almost tearfully. "You take care of me."
Gaga continued her list of thank-yous until the orchestra started to play her off and concluded with a comic untruth: "I'm truly speechless. I really am truly speechless."
