Meet TV's newest superheroes when the Disney XD live-action comedy series Lab Rats debuts tonight with a special one-hour episode.
Created by That '70s Show veterans Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore, the series centers on high schooler Leo Dooley (Tyrel Jackson Williams) and his three bionic step-siblings: there's strongman Adam (Spencer Boldman), incredibly fast Bree (Kelli Berglund) and boy genius chase (Billy Unger). Raised in a secret underground lab, the trio finally gets a taste of the real world when their inventor dad (Talk Soup veteran Hal Sparks) marries and they inherit stepbro Leo. "For the first time we get to experience life outside of our high-tech mansion and learn how to be normal kids in high school," says Boldman.
So when the not-so-typical teens aren't saving mankind, story lines will find them dealing with normal stuff like their first lockers, student elections — and maybe even some romance? Boldman says, "I've been begging for a girlfriend, so hopefully we can hook that up [and] get Megan Fox to come on." Nothing like setting your sights high!
Lab Rats premieres Monday at 8:30/7:30c on Disney XD.
