Kris Jenner's talk show, Kris, premiered Monday morning, and the question on everyone's minds was whether Jenner's granddaughter, North West, would make her debut.

Jenner predictably waited until the 57th minute of the hour-long show to come out with an infant in her arms — but alas, it was not Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter, who turns 1 month old today. (Rather, it was a crew member's baby.)

"Oh, you thought it was ... " Jenner teased as the audience's collective "awww" died down.  Kardashian will debut North "on her own time," Jenner said.

As for the rest of the show, it featured typical daytime fare, including segments with celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, a belly dancer, and a celebrity stylist. (It's worth noting that while, over on ABC, the ladies of The View were dissecting the George Zimmerman acquittal, Jenner was complimenting her guest co-host, Cameron Mathison, on how "cute" his wife is.)

"One of my favorite things about having my own show is that I get to set the record straight on all these crazy rumors," Jenner told Mathison early on in the hour. Viewers then learned that Kim Kardashian is allowed to leave the house whenever she wants, and also that she and West will not be getting married in Egypt.

An especially awkward moment came when Jenner, after being serenaded by musical guest Il Volo, asked the members who their celebrity crushes are. After the singers named Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie and Jenner herself as an afterthought ("and of course we love you too"), the newly-minted host — ever a stage mom — pointed out that her daughters Khloe and Kourtney (though not Kim) were also in the audience. Cue crickets.

Speaking of Khloe and Kourtney, they more than once were caught looking uncomfortable and/or miserable when the camera panned over to their front-row seats — until they realized they were being filmed and turned on the charm.

Kris is currently on a trial run this summer, and it remains to be seen whether Fox will give it a full pick-up. Did you watch the show? What did you think?
