Kobe Bryant's Wife Files for Divorce

Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce from the Lakers basketball star Friday, citing irreconcilable differences, TMZ.com reports.

Vanessa, who's been married to Kobe for more than 10 years, reportedly decided to end the marriage because she believes her husband has been unfaithful to her. In 2003, he was accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old hotel employee; Kobe admitted to an adulterous sexual encounter, but denied her sexual assault allegation.

Vanessa is asking for joint custody of the couple's children, Natalia, 8, and Giana, 5. She is also asking the judge to grant her husband visitation rights, and for spousal support, which Kobe has agreed to. The couple reportedly never signed a prenuptial agreement, which entitles Vanessa to half of her husband's earnings from the last 10 years.
