Earlier this month, we brought you news that Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon were teaming up for a limited event series based on the novel Little Fires Everywhere. The only thing we didn't really know was where we would be able to watch it.

Well, now we know who paid the big bucks and won the bidding war for the series. Little Fires Everywhere was ordered straight to series by Hulu, home to other literary series such as The Handmaid's Tale and the upcoming Castle Rock. Hulu has ordered eight episodes.

Celeste Ng's 2017 novel was a best seller and follows a suburban Ohio community that becomes divided when a family attempts to adopt a Chinese-American baby.

Witherspoon has made the transition from movie star to TV star look effortless. Her first big TV project, HBO's Big Little Lies, was such a massive hit that HBO opted to order a second season of the show despite it being intended as a close-ended miniseries. She's also due to star alongside Jennifer Aniston in a drama about morning news shows for Apple. Washington is about to end her run as Olivia Pope on ABC's Scandaland has a few more TV projects that she's producing in the works.
