Saturday Night Live's current most senior performer may be heading for the exit.
TMZ.com reports that Kenan Thompson, who has been on the show for 11 years, will exit the sketch comedy show after this season. According to the report, Thompson, 36, wanted to depart after last season, but SNL creator Lorne Michaels convinced him to stay on for one more year citing the high cast turnover in recent seasons.
A show spokesperson called TMZ's report "inaccurate" and said that cast decisions aren't made until the end of the season.
SNL kicks off its new season on Saturday at 11:35/10:35c on NBC with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Arianna Grande. Would you miss Thompson?
