Clarkson and friends dined on stuffed mushrooms, spaghetti, chicken parmesan, lasagna and other hearty Italian dishes at Washington, D.C.'s Buca di Beppo the night before her blistering live rendition of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at Monday's ceremony, TMZ reports.

The American Idol winner took a picture with the restaurant's staff after she and her group ran up a $230 bill. They capped off their meal with a colossal brownie sundae, according to the report.
