Keck's Exclusives: Scoop on Glee, Big Bang and More!

I always look forward to the December mornings when nominations for the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards are announced. I phone up my favorite stars to offer my congratulations — and land some juicy scoop in return. This year I was most excited for Glee's Chris Colfer, who at age 20 is up for a Golden Globe (airing January 16 on NBC) and a Screen Actors Guild Award (airing January 30 on TNT and TBS). After coming out of the closet and battling homophobia, will Chris' Kurt finally find love with Blaine on the February 8 Valentine's Day episode? I hear the two will be crooning Robin Thicke's "When I Get You Alone" outside a Gap store as Blaine prepares to profess his love. "There might be a development," hints Chris.

Chris will be competing for a Globe against Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet, who says his Cameron will have his own Valentine's Day issues upon learning that his partner, Mitchell, is being crushed on by his young law firm assistant. "I think it's really cute and call him out on it," says Eric. In another episode, Cam gets angry at Mitchell when he forgets to mail party invitations. Plus, we'll also soon see the return of Cameron's clown alter ego, Fizbo!

You'll never guess where Eric's costar Sofía Vergara (Gloria) was when she learned she was nominated for a Globe. In a cemetery! "It was very creepy. My trailer was parked in front of a tomb," says Sofía (also nominated for a SAG Award). The cemetery story line finds Gloria's husband, Jay, "getting his grave ready for when the time comes," she says. "Jay has ideas for Gloria's burial that clash with her Catholic traditions, so she puts her foot down!"

MF creator Chris Lloyd tells me he will soon cast a brother for Phil. "Phil and his brother communicate largely through insulting and punching each other," says Lloyd. This came as exciting news to SAG nominee Ty Burrell. "I didn't know that," says Ty, suggesting Marty Feldman to play his bro. (Too bad the bug-eyed comic died back in '82.) In another episode, Phil will don a robe and slippers at a day spa where, Ty says, "he gets some sound advice from the gals on how to relate to his wife."

Also spa-bound this winter: The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon, played by Globe nominee Jim Parsons. "The whole gang takes a road trip to a science conference at a spa resort in Big Sur," says Jim. "It's a big enough group that we have to split up into two cars. Penny's in mine until she misbehaves. And Sheldon dictates when the bathroom breaks will occur."

Another road trip finds Globes and SAG nominee Julianna Margulies' Alicia Florrick of The Good Wife heading from Oregon back to Chicago with her gay bro, Owen (Dallas Roberts), who contemplates moving closer to his sis after breaking up with a beau. "This gives Alicia time to talk to her brother about what's going on," says cocreator Michelle King, who will also be giving returning guest star Michael J. Fox's lawyer character a good wife of his own.

Congratulations to all the nominees. I'll see you on the red carpet!
