USA's Burn Notice has given notice to a familiar figure who will bite the big one in the July 26 episode. And if you listen to Sharon Gless (who plays Michael Westen's mother, Madeline), one person stands out as the likeliest corpse. Gless says she "was very upset" when she learned who'd be killed off because "it affects my character tremendously — almost more than anyone." Sounds like it doesn't bode well for Madeline's other son, Nate, played by Seth Peterson.
While creator Matt Nix will only say "watch and see," he does confirm that this is the show's boldest move to date. "It's a pretty good way for an actor to go; not something you would see coming. The impact will be felt for the rest of the show and launches Michael [Jeffrey Donovan] in a whole new direction." In fact, the death and apprehension of the murderer is only the beginning of the upheaval for Michael and friends. As the season nears its close, the core cast won't even be in Florida anymore! Adds Nix, "They'll be very, very far from Miami."
