Super Bowl XLIX may have taken place in Arizona, but fans were transported to California during Katy Perry's special effects-heavy halftime show.
The most memorable Super Bowl halftime performances
Entering the stadium atop an impressive puppet-robot hybrid lion to the tune of her hit "Roar," Perry wowed the crowd through a nine-song set including "Dark Horse" and "Teenage Dream" and featuring guest appearances by Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. Kravitz joined Perry briefly on "I Kissed a Girl," while Elliott and her backup dancers stole the show for a three-song medley of "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It," and "Music Makes You Lose Control."
One of Perry's stage setups adopted a beach theme - complete with bikinis, beach balls, palm trees and even dancing sharks.
Predictably, Perry ended her set with "Firework," sailing around the arena on a makeshift shooting star that looked eerily like the "The More You Know" logo.
