Katt Williams Sentenced to Community Service

Katt Williams has avoided jail in his police chase case, TMZ reports. The comedian was originally charged with felony vehicle code violation for evading police, but he pleaded no contest to reduced misdemeanor charge in court on Thursday.

Katt Williams has avoided jail in his police chase case, TMZ reports.

The comedian was originally charged with felony vehicle code violation for evading police, but he pleaded no contest to reduced misdemeanor charge in court on Thursday. Williams received a sentence of 428 hours of community service to be completed in nine months.

His attorney Richard Schonfeld said, "Mr. Williams looks forward to working with the community and moving on with his life."

In November, police chased Williams through the streets of Sacramento, where he was riding on a three-wheeled motorcycle on the wrong side of the road and on the sidewalk. Williams was also arrested in December after an altercation at a Seattle bar.
