The Today show quartet put their best faces forward this morning — despite the fact that all hell was breaking loose behind the scenes. After 17 months on the job, Jonathan Wald is out as the show's exec producer. Simmering tensions between Wald and anchors Katie Couric and Matt Lauer reportedly were a contributing factor. "The program is like a family, and with any family, there is tension and disagreement," Wald tells Variety. "But good families don't talk about it." Former Good Morning America producer Tom Touchet is expected to replace Wald.
