Katie Couric Opens Up About Past Struggle with Bulimia

Katie Couric opened up about her past battle with bulimia during the Monday episode of Katie, People reports.
In the episode, which also featured an interview with The X Factor judge Demi Lovato about her own past struggles with an eating disorder, Couric shared the revelation when she was speaking with an expert in eating disorders.

"I wrestled with bulimia all through college and for two years after that," Couric said. "I know this rigidity, this feeling that if you eat one thing that's wrong, you're full of self-loathing and then you punish yourself."
Couric, 55, continued: "Whether it's one cookie or a stick of gum that isn't sugarless ... sometimes [I would] beat myself up for that."
