Kanye West is going back to the MTV Video Music Awards one year after he infamously grabbed the mic from Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech.

The Grammy winning rapper, who is nominated for Best Hip Hop Video for his collaboration with Drake, Lil Wayne and Eminem on "Forever," will perform at the award show on Sunday, Sept. 12, according to Us Weekly. West's new album is scheduled to be released this fall.

West recently opened the BET Awards with a performance of his single "Power." The MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Sept. 12 at 9/8c.
