Kayne West has pulled out of a scheduled performance on Today following his tense interview with Matt Lauer.

West had been slated to give a concert hosted by the morning show on Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving. He has since tweeted that the event would no longer be happening.

"I'm not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons," he continued. "I don't hate Matt Lauer... We don't promote hate. That's the whole point!!! I promote love and truth! Much love to Matt and the whole Today Show. I accept ya'll future apology in advance LOL!"

On Thursday's episode of Today, West sat down with Lauer but got steamed when the show played a clip of his infamous Taylor Swift diss while he was answering a question.

"Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you're going to run the thing in the middle while I'm talking?" West said. "Please don't let that happen again. It's like ridiculous."

Lauer later defended using the footage, saying that Today does that for most of its interviews. "There was nothing improper about it, nothing unusual about it whatsoever," he said.

After their interview, West complained on his Twitter account that the Today show interview was "very brutal."

"I feel very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused," he wrote.
