Kanye West will perform his single "BLKKK SKKKN HEAD" at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, the network announced Monday.

The performance will move West into a tie with Madonna as the artist with the most VMA performances. (Both will have seven.) As previously announced, Lady GaGa is also scheduled to perform at the show to debut her new single "Applause."

Artists who are nominated for VMA awards this year include Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Bruno Mars, Pink, Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus. The VMAs will broadcast live  from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 9/8c on MTV.
