Julianna Margulies revealed her New York apartment was flooded shortly before the renovated digs made its debut in the February issue of Architectural Digest.

"The day it came out on the stands, we walked in [after] trying to get back to New York City in the middle of a storm," The Good Wife star told Ellen DeGeneres. "The whole time I kept saying to my son, we have our health. It's ok. Everything is fine. We have our health.

"We walked into our brand-new apartment with this [Architectural Digest] — it was in the mail — and everything was flooded," she said. "The whole place had completely flooded from the guy upstairs."

Margulies explained that her neighbor's radiator had exploded, but she managed to stay positive — with a little help from her six-year-old son Kiearnan.

"It's like an Upper East Side problem because we've been helping people recover from Sandy," she said. "So I know so many people don't have homes. I try to have perspective. I did open the door and burst into tears, at which point my son was like, 'Momma, we have our health.'"
