Judith Light is heading to Dallas, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The veteran TV actress will recur throughout the TNT series' second season, playing "an authoritative and controlling battle-ax who will fight to the death to protect the people she loves," according to TVLine, which first reported the news.
Additional details about the character, including her name, have not been released — but it's possible she could be playing the mother of Ann Ewing (Brenda Strong), who is said to be making an appearance this season.
Dallas kicks off its second season in January.
