Hail storms, tidal waves, tornadoes and killer frost couldn't slow down a silly green ogre as Shrek 2 fended off disaster pic The Day After Tomorrow to retain the top spot at the box office. During the first three days of the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the animated sequel grossed $73.1 million to Tomorrow's $70 million. Shrek 2 has gobbled up $237.8 million since opening 12 days ago. Elsewhere, Kate Hudson's new comedy Raising Helen raised $11.2 million to debut at No. 4, while the urban knee-slapper Soul Plane crashed on take-off, opening at No. 5 with $5.7 million — relative peanuts.
