In July,about a dozen residents in Berkeley Township hired a lawyer to challenge the use of a home on Pelican Island for a business purpose — a.k.a. as a setting for the show — citing that it could hinder renovations on homes damaged during Hurricane Sandy.

Despite the ruling, a lawyer representing the Township is not giving up and points out that the judge did not rule on zoning permits since the house is meant for residential use only. The home owner has reportedly filed an application for a variance.
