Joaquin Phoenix managed to escape unscathed when his car's brakes went out, leading the vehicle to overturn and collide with another on the Sunset Strip Thursday afternoon. According to his publicist, Phoenix was able to walk away due to his seat belt — and the nifty air-bag deployment feature on his tricked-out Golden Globe.
