Nick and JoAnna Garcia Swisher Expecting First Baby

It's time to batter up for baby!

JoAnna Garcia Swisher and her husband, Major League Baseball player Nick Swisher, are expecting their first child, the couple announced Monday.

"We are expecting a little Swisher in the spring of 2013! Words can't describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition," they said in a message posted on his Facebook page Monday. "Your support and kindness has meant so much to us throughout the years and we wanted to personally share the news with you all."

Garcia Swisher, who is best known for her roles on Reba and Privileged, married New York Yankee Swisher in December 2010. Both are currently between gigs. The actress' most recent series, Animal Practice, was pulled from NBC's schedule earlier this month. Swisher recently turned down a one-year deal to return to the New York Yankees, the team with which he won a World Series championship in 2009, and is now a free agent.
