No one can ever truly replace Joan Rivers, but E!'s Fashion Police now faces the difficult task of finding a new co-host before it can continue on without the late comedienne.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, formal conversations have not yet taken place with any potential candidates, but Rivers' fellow funny lady and close personal friend Kathy Griffin is rumored to be in serious contention to join the show when the time is right.

However, The Hollywood Reporter also reports that E!'s short-list of possible replacements includes men as well as women. Some fans are already throwing out suggestions like comedian Billy Eichner—who's best known for his Funny or Die and Fuse Network series Billy on the Street and a guest-starring role on Parks and Recreation—which could be a fun change.

Although, now I'm just picturing a mash-up of Fashion Police and Billy on the Street in which Billy ambushes people on the streets of New York and judges their outfits. I'd watch that.

Regardless of who is eventually chosen to join the Fashion Police panel alongside Giuliana RancicKelly Osborne, and George Kotsiopoulos, you shouldn't expect an official announcement anytime soon. Executives at E! reportedly don't feel that enough time has passed since Rivers' death in early September to be making any formal decisions, and they want Rivers' daughter Melissa, who will continue to work on the show as an executive producer, to be involved in the selection process.

Who do you think would make a good Fashion Police co-host?
